Positive: The apartment is very close to the river, with different hiking spots around the region of Trier. You can go further south to the Luxemburgisch border to visit some canyons. The apartment itself is clean and comes with floor heating everywhere which is so lovely in winter! The ceiling is very high, so it ensures good ventilation and air quality. Most importantly, the apartment owners are friendly to pets. We brought our own cushion for our pet and she loves sleeping in the new apartment.
Negative: There is only one bathroom, albeit a very big bathroom. We planned our shower times for four guests. The shower is nice anyway. The glazed window in the living room can be fully opened which is nice! However, it leads to an outdoor space looking like a cement roof - but it isn’t. It is actually a soft top of a tent, without railings, dangerous for smokers who seek balconies, especially for guests arriving in the evening.
