Sweeping vistas from all living and dining rooms aswell as the bedrooms and kitchen of the beach, ocean
and Bouddi National Park.
Ideal getaway comfortably equipped with TV, DVD, iPod docking station and stereo. Well equipped kitchen including microwave. Large sitting and dining rooms, fly screens throughout, cosy wood-
burning heater for winter and great cross ventilation capturing summer breezes.
Laundry includes washing machine and dryer.
Large covered outside room with ocean views, outdoor setting, cooking bench, variety of cooking equipment including Electric Char Grill.

Picturesque and peaceful, Killcare and Hardys Bay offer an idyllic coastal lifestyle. Residents have beaches and bushland at their disposal and they take maximum advantage of both. Putty Beach is a firm favourite, and the Bouddi Coastal Walk, which stretches all the way to Macmasters Beach, is a local go-to. Bouddi National Park is a natural delight, with walking trails, mountain biking tracks, fishing spots and beautiful beaches that are a world away from the daily grind.
Killcare Village features a general store offering limited grocery shopping and bottle store, an art gallery, hair salon, and boutique shops. Larger shopping malls and supermarkets are just a short drive away. When it comes to dining, Killcare and Hardys Bay is a hidden hotspot. There are fine dining restaurants like The Wildflower Bar and Dining (located inside Bells at Killcare), as well as relaxed beachside eateriesThe Fat Goose and Hardys Bay Bistro.
Killcare is just 1.5 hours from Sydney and is surrounded by national park so it is very peaceful and beautiful and quite secluded from the rest of the Central Coast. Putty Beach at Killcare has a patrolled swimming area and is also popular for surfing, snorkelling and fishing. A wonderful rock pool is located just near the surf club which features a cafe, restaurant and popular wedding venue. Just over the hill is glorious Hardys Bay where you can hire boats, play tennis or just enjoy the wonderful cafes and restaurants and peaceful water views. There are many great walks in the area and if you feel like exploring, the Central Coast has many activities on offer.

Summary: The location of this unique property is excellent. Located in one of the best streets in Killcare and a short walking distance to the beach and Hardy's Bay shops. The property was built to capture the spectacular view with a minimal footprint and it does that perfectly. The house was adequately ventilated and cooled by breezes. There is no getting away from the stairs and we were fore-warned. To be fair, most of the homes in the street and surrounding area are positioned on steeply sloping blocks. Only the two bedrooms with single beds are at the very top requiring the full climb. The living areas and master bedroom (mezzanine) are only a small flight apart. The kitchen is OK but if you plan to do lots of cooking, the absence of a dishwasher means the washing up becomes an opportunity to share the love. A BBQ would have been handy too. The electric grill is not large enough to cook for more than 2 - 3 people. Fortunately there are many good food options in town or a short drive away. My phone reception (Optus) was non-existent at the property and there is no WiFi so you may like to BYO. I was annoyed by this at first but the forced disconnect was probably a good thing. Overall, a week of climbing was enough for me but I'd happily return to Killcare for a holiday.
