Sonoma County currently has a shelter in place order with no specific end date. While the order is in effect, we can only allow reservations to provide: 1) lodging to protect the County homeless population, (2) lodging for County residents who have been displaced and cannot return to their residence because there is a person residing at their residence that must isolate or quarantine or is at a high risk of severe illness from COVID-19, as defined in this Section 16.a. above, (3) lodging for County residents who need to isolate or quarantine, (4) housing support for Healthcare Operations, Essential Infrastructure, Essential Businesses, and Essential Governmental Functions (i.e. housing traveling nurses or government contractors. FOR MAY ARRIVAL DATES: We are only allowing confirmed essential travel reservations for May. Before reserving, contact our office to make sure your travel is essential. Be aware that we will require documentation regarding the purpose of your visit. Any reservation that does not meet the above criteria will need to be moved to a later date or cancelled. Upon reserving, please state the reason for travel in the reservation comments. Reservations made with an arrival date on or before May 31st without stating an essential reason for travel will be automatically cancelled. We will not charge your card for any rent, cleaning, tax or damage protection, but it is possible the service fee charged directly by VRBO will not be refundable. FOR JUNE 1st OR LATER ARRIVAL DATES: Please read over the VRBO cancellation policy and inquire if you have questions. We are taking reservations for dates June 1st onward without knowing whether or not leisure travel will be permitted for those dates. Since the travel restrictions and the pandemic crisis are now foreseeable events, new reservations will not be fully refundable. In the event that you need to cancel for covid-19 reasons, including an extension of shelter in place orders, we are offering a full credit to be used within 18 months of the original arrival date. Our physical office is closed, but we are open for business, available via phone and email Monday-Saturday 9am to 5pm, temporarily closed on Sundays. Nestled into the vast coastal redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens) along the protected Austin Creek, Dreamwood is a retreat unto itself! With two hammocks, an abundance of games and toys, room to spread out and one of the best swimming holes along the creek, families will love staying here year-round. Nature is the great entertainer, but the house also has wifi, a flatscreen smart TV, and Sonos stereo system. Or check out the new sauna - especially lovely after a swim in the creek. The ground level of the house is fully remodeled - adding two bedrooms - one of which is perfect for the kids, a full bathroom, sauna, second W/D and mini kitchen. Step outside to enjoy the view overlooking the creek, and enjoy the hammocks and ample room to run around. Upstairs, the main deck offers a propane gill, plenty of seating for outdoor dining. The upper two levels remind us that this charming home started out as a rustic cabin, much loved by its family. It is a place for memory making. Know Before You Book: Damage Waiver: The non-refundable damage waiver included in the reservation charges replaces a standard security deposit. The damage waiver covers unintentional damages to real or personal property of the rental unit that occur during your stay. The policy will pay a maximum benefit of $3000.00. Any damages that exceed $3,000.00 will be charged to the guest directly. The damage waiver plan does not cover replacement of missing items, additional housekeeping charges, intentional damage or gross negligence, or damages resulting from a violation of the rules outlined in the Russian River Vacation Homes guest agreement. To ensure that you are not charged for any damages, you are responsible for reporting any accidental damages to Russian River Vacation Homes in a timely manner. *PLEASE NOTE* HomeAway offers a damage protection fee during the online check-out process. This is different than the waiver that we offer and costs more for less coverage. DO NOT select the damage insurance offered at checkout. Office Hours and Booking Information: Our office is open from 9 am to 5 pm every day, excluding major holidays. After making a booking and confirming their security deposit vs. damage protection preference, guests will be sent arrival instructions and a contract with our terms in detail to sign and return. You will be contacted within 24 hours of making your reservation. No same-day reservations past 2 pm. It should not happen, but in case the system is allowing you to book for same-day arrival and it is after 2 pm, please reach out to us. If it is after 5 pm, please do not complete your reservation; no one will be available to process your reservation and prepare for your arrival. Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at is 8 people. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at all times. Parking: There is parking for 4 cars parked in the driveway. There is not additional street parking. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance. Bed Sizes: First bedroom: King bed; Second bedroom: Queen bed; Third bedroom: two twin beds and a twin bunk bed. Heat Source: This house uses a Nest thermostat for the central heating system. There is also a woodstove (firewood and kindling is not provided). Road to Dreamwood: Cazadero Highway is narrow and windy in spots. We recommend heeding the speed limit. Stairs: Dreamwood is three stories with interior and exterior staircases from the ground level to the middle level. There are interior stairs to the loft (master bedroom). Fencing: The yard is partially fenced. Proximity to Wineries: Korbel Winery is the closest winery at 12.3 miles. Fort Ross Winery, on the coast, is 15.2 miles. Nearest River Beach: The nearest river beach is the Monte Rio Public Beach, 5.3 miles from the house. Unofficially, the closer river access point is in Duncan's Mills 3.4 miles away. Nearest Ocean Beach: The coastal beaches in Jenner are approx. 8 miles from the house.
