Positive: This hotel is fabulous, the staff are great, and the location is awesome! We visited with a hire car so that we could drive the Transpantaneira Rd ourselves and this hotel is so close to the start of the road, it was amazing. There is also a really fabulous restaurant just across the road from the hotel where the pizzas and gin cocktails were amazing. The hotel can arrange for a trip to visit the river and I would absolutely recommend that you do this.
Negative: It wasn't clear who to pay for the day trip and we ended up not being charged. We tried to pay when we got back to the UK but despite trying various different methods we could not find any that worked. I felt bad about this because the trip was phenomenal and worth every penny. The Pizza restaurant was closed one night and the options available in the nearby town were nowhere near as good.
