Positive: The balcony area is absolutely beautiful, featuring a charming small swimming pool and a stunning view of the sea.
Negative: Unfortunately, our stay was not as pleasant as we had hoped. The apartment was not properly cleaned before our arrival; in addition to some areas being generally unclean, there was a strong smell of urine. We kindly asked a staff member to clean the apartment more thoroughly, but her visibly annoyed reaction made us feel uncomfortable. Although the pool was cleaned on the first day, no further maintenance was done during our stay. With the frequent rain, leaves quickly accumulated in the water. The quality of the amenities was quite poor. Towels, toilet paper, and basic items like detergent felt very cheap, and towels were only changed every three days. Communication with the property management was also frustrating. We tried to adjust our stay due to weather-related travel issues but received no response for an entire week. There was no clear contact option via Booking.com, and the first WhatsApp message came only on our original check-in day. Unfortunately, we couldn’t reach Morro de São Paulo due to weather conditions and had no rental car, so we lost the first day without any support or reimbursement. Be cautious with the grocery store recommendations sent via WhatsApp. We ordered a few items from a store they suggested, only to find that the prices were extremely inflated. Later, we found the exact same products at a different store for a third of the price, completely unethical. Lastly, the location is not ideal. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the town center and main beaches, and the path doesn’t feel very safe at night. It’s poorly lit and becomes muddy and difficult to walk when it rains.
