Recently purchased (2) sit in, closed bow kayaks - as well as (2) youth "sit on top" or "kid" sized kayaks are also available for floating downstream
during the day AND without having to rent the B&B space. You can start or launch from our dock on the river OR we can take you upstream to park #1 (of 7 parks that you can stop along the way or at the numbered park we agree to meet) for pickup and return to the B&B.
NOW available for RENT with prices for either: day, night, weekend or for your entire vacation stay. We also have a few fishing poles available AND some really big night crawlers (aka worms) for bait in the worm bed next to the pool equipment and is included with the rental should you choose to stay overnight. WE can also do an all inclusive rental package, so call or text for questions related to those prices.
HOWEVER, and provided that you can SHOW proof of VALID/CURRENT LOUISIANA fishing license for ANY and/or ALL who plan to fish OR even hold a fishing pole or related fishing equipment! OUR local Game Warden (who you will see & he will probably stop & check during your stay if he observes anyone with a fishing pole or related equipment so be sure to have licenses on hand) OUR Game Warden is cool, but tough when it comes to being LEGAL in all aspects of fishing, boating, etc here on the river and will GLADLY issue tickets if YOU are not licensed properly. One day fishing licenses for sale at any Walmart, sporting or fishing store means our Game Warden here on the river WILL stop and ask to see that license or certification, even if just at our dock. So don't pick up or touch a fishing pole if you don't have a current fishing license and you are good go.
SO on that note and as ALWAYS, we look forward to "hosting" you and your guest(s) during your vacation stay here on the vermilion river!

Steel beam constructed in 1953 riverfront historic music & audio recording studio. See where Tommy McClain, Charlie Pride, Kelly Keeling and Hart Fortenbery from "Deep South Paranormal Encounters" and many more musical artists practiced and even wrote their lyrics. Private 2 bedroom getaway with "guest only keyed" access to the attached apartment. Located on the Vermilion River and perfect for fishing all day and night if it suits your stay, just have your current fishing license and we've got a juicy, fat worm bed onsite. The attached apartment consists of 2 rooms, 1 key lock master bedroom and the queen bedroom which has direct access to the driveway. Also, both rooms have equal access to the lockable B&B bathroom as well as access to the main house through the lockable main house bathroom door. The riverfront home is about 5 minutes from the Lafayette Regional Airport and to save you the car rental we can come get you & take ya back for your return flight.
Need a lift to the local grocery store, gas station, atm or dropped off downtown for a night out--no problem we got ya covered! Stay for the week or weekend and be sure to enjoy your music from the bluetooth speakers by the pool OR just hang out in the peace & quiet sounds of our "bird watching" backyard.
Located just minutes from downtown and about 2 minutes from Lafayette Regional Hospital. The house is very spacious, super peaceful, and situated on a cul-de-sac type road - so no street traffic only neighbors. All pets are welcome of course, just let us know if your "pet" is friendly otherwise we can easily keep our 5 dogs locked out during your stay.
Of course, you have access to a very large fenced backyard, tree swing overlooking the pool and an (2) outdoor fire pits with seating all around. Our dock can be used to secure any motorized boat, kayaks, canoes, etc for easy river access or just plain ole fishing off of it. If you need anything just ask and we will get you taken care of.

Summary: Our stay was fantastic. Both hosts were on top of any requests or information we requested. Property owner was welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond for us. Breakfast was scrumptious, with a fabulous homemade gravy. Yum. The kayak trip was perfect and we were able to launch and return to the B&B, although hosts offer drop off and pick up at numerous stops along the river. We definitely will stay again.
