Positive: Aesthetically it was lovely. Plenty of space and good location

Negative: The condition of the pool was not acceptable. There was so much dirt on the bottom of the pool and each time our kids jumped in, the dirt and debris would rise to the surface of the pool. There were insects etc floating around at all times during our stay. These had to be shovelled out of the pool daily. Two of the children that swam in the pool both contracted bacterial ear infections, both boys have ended up with ruptured eardrums as a result of the severity of the bacteria. Every kitchen item that needed to be used had to be thoroughly cleaned prior to use. As a minimum I generally rinse all kitchen items before use when staying in properties such as this, however in this instance I had to actually clean with dish soap and a scrubbing brush every item we wanted to use as they were just not clean and in a usable condition. Kitchen cupboard doors and handles were grotty and clearly had not been cleaned thoroughly in some time. The sliding door handle to the pantry was particularly dirty. Numerous dead flies on window sills throughout the house. The evenings were quite cool and there were not sufficient blankets. This house sleeps 10 ppl and there were five of us staying and only two extra blankets. I had to sleep in a tracksuit most nights which wasn’t great. This is very significant feedback and I did reach out to Hunters (the property managers) directly but received no reply whatsoever. So disappointing.
