Positive: It was in a lovely village
Negative: Very poor greeting and we were given no help with our luggage. Person who greeted us and showed us to the property was rude and unhelpful and we felt like we were “herded” into the property. Property was very inaccessible with lots of steps (and we are quite fit and mobile). It was badly lit at nighttime . Advertised as having a rooftop terrace. Shabby, shabby and shabby! Grotty looking space with absolutely no attempt made at making it nice and sunloungers looked horrible- not at all inviting . Also, even more steps up to this area. Inside the accommodation had steep steps down to kitchen area and more steps down to bedrooms and bathroom. Bathroom was dark and cold looking and had a bad small shower. People renting this place should bring the price way down in consideration of all these negatives. I loved Atrani. It was one of the favourite places I stayed in on the Amalfi coast but I wish I had picked a different accommodation there as it looked like there were other nicer alternatives. I am usually good at picking good places to stay but I bombed on this occasion. Having said all the above, the inside of the accommodation was clean but it definitely would not be recommended by me and didn’t come near to living up to the description given.
